Lancia

Astura Granlusso Pininfarina

1938

1938

This breathtaking Lancia is not only a showcase of pre-war Italian elegance, but also a piece of automotive history. It is believed to be the very first of just five or six examples built with Gran Lusso coachwork by Pininfarina. Displayed at the Berlin Motor Show in 1939, the car made its way to Sweden in 1940, where it has remained ever since. For the past 30 years, it’s been hidden away in a garage—its Art Deco lines and aristocratic character waiting patiently for a return to the public eye. Now, at The Aurora, this extraordinary survivor finally steps back into the spotlight.
